It also seems to make the assumption that all animated AS programming is/was worthwhile television, and I think Squidbillies, Xavier and Assy McGee prove otherwise…

Fun fact: Candace was a frequent contestant on Say What Karaoke as I recently learned on a podcast featuring Dave Holmes as a guest.

Candace didn't seem like and altogether horrible human being. I will give her credit for always being game for whatever craziness they wanted to try on the show. However, that didn't stop me from fast forwarding through her segments of the show.

I am genuinely sorry for this. AOTS could be tedious, but it had the carefree attitude that makes deep cable shows fun and allowed for great spontaneous moments (for a recently example, see Marc Maron's interview with Dan Harmon).

Actually, since a substantial portion of Adult Swim programming has revolved around satires and playful send-ups of previous era programming, I'd say that Childrens Hospital and NTSF: SD: SUV (as well as Darkplace, Look Around You, and yes, Saul of the Molemen) fit right along with the tone set by Venture Brothers, Bir

I'm still kvelling over this episode - I was still catching my breath after laughing hysterically at Ron's saw reveal that I never saw the proposal coming (Ben suddenly appearing sure, but not the ring). That a show could have me laughing heartily one minute and tearing up with joy the next is proof of tv excellence.

And yet it seems like no matter which ad you saw and what movie you think you came to see, everyone will be walking away unsatisfied.
