(Not going to put this well but ...) Thank you for writing this post, covering this story and exposing it to a wider audience.

Seriously, an armed mob trying to force its way into a house in the middle of the night. What were they going to do, make a citizen’s arrest? What a joke. Those cops that let them go without even taking their names should all be fired for negligence and sheer stupidity for just ignoring a lynch mob.

So they got together an armed lynch mob and terrorized this woman because they thought some guy *might* live there and when they found out he didn’t and the actual police arrived, nobody was arrested even though they brought weapons to the scene and tried to force their way into her home.

Sounds like a planned lynching.

My fiance told me about this last night. Not only were we both shocked/not-shocked, we contemplated what we would do in a similar situation, being white.

Nah, homeboy will end up landscaping for an uncle and killing off a 12-pack a night until cirrhosis ends him, while homegirl will end up failing at being a tattoo artist and selling LuLaRoe after having married an abusive jarhead.

This takes me back to the days of working at KFC and coming into work so weak with the flu that I had to keep finding a place to hide just so I could sit down before I passed out (the stairs going up to the roof, FWIW). I wonder how many people I infected. I even tried to stay home at least once but was told that if I

Considering the whole problem is that people are not going to public places, I don’t see how that’s a big issue in this situation.

don’t have the ability to take food to go.

I feel terrible for our local caterers. We’ve had to cancel all our meetings, large and small, and the lunch orders that go with them. We’ve received many e-mails from the caterers updating us on their policies regarding increased safety measures and switching from buffet-style meals to boxed lunches and they’re all

What I truly do not understand about incidents like this is why they (cops) don’t walk in, figure out the caller is on some bullshit and then give them a citation for the aforementioned bullshit. The wslasting of their time is one thing but the deterrence of future incidents should be another. I’m not even going to

In the sense that the chem teacher is also a taxpayer, I agree that the taxpayer should foot the whole bill. Drain that chem teacher’s own savings account, and then the school district should top up the rest. I mean, Jesus Christ, that picture is soul wrenching. Just pay the damn kid and don’t traumatize them any damn

I’d bet the taxpayers will end up footing the bill, plus legal fees. Probably in a confidential pre-trial settlement — at least if school-district officials have the imagination to picture themselves on the witness stand, explaining that third-degree burns over 10% of your body are a merely cosmetic problem.

Having an “advanced driver assistance” system that is JUST good enough to drive the car right up until the moment it can’t is idiotic. Humans are not wired to work very well in that sort of situation.

Put her and Miley Cyrus in the same room, maybe they'll annihilate each other in a flash of blinding light and we'll be free

reflecting on the comments above yours, closer to 6 minutes.

I think we’re about six months away from a Lizzo backlash.

the more i read about this person the less i am impressed by her.

Yeah this is gross for both her and the person who has that seat next game if they don’t clean those seats.

Issei Noodle in Carlisle, I go there every Friday night for dinner. It’s my happy place.
