The crossed out stuff in these sections is very clearly accidentally repeated material. Confused the heck out of me. Please fix it, and fix “giveing” to “giving” in the second selection.

Here’s a thought: Heart of Darkness. It’s a very nautical book (mostly about navigating rivers). Set it in a new star system instead of on a different continent, be a lot more careful with the racist overtones, and it could be really interesting
Sorry if we didn’t quite get the age and gender right
I see the same, but only when I’m not looking directly at it. Something to do with how it fades to black around the edges?
Seriously, I’m far more excited about the potential theoretical implications of this device than its practical applications. If we genuinely can’t explain what’s going on—and my understanding is that the explanations that have been given are basically crap—that is fantastically exciting.
So here’s a question for any Trekkers out there. What do you think about a new series? When should it be set, what should it be about? Should it be in the original universe, or do you think that the Abramsverse deserves more thorough explorations than the movies can provide? Here’s my idea. I’d love to hear yours.

Yes! I've wanted to see something like this for so long! I still want to see one where the slices are small enough and spaced close enough temporally that there's more of a smooth effect. THAT would be cool.
"A Pail of Air," by Fritz Leiber. Fantastic concept well executed.
Uh, one kilometer is not ~6 miles. One kilometer is ~0.6 miles...
The sun's gone wibbly!
I'm biased 'cause I watched it just the other night, but Edge of Tomorrow has some pretty hilarious "death" scenes. Favorites being when Cage tries to role under the truck and gets crushed, the "headshot, 'MAGGOT,' headshot 'MAGGOT'" sequence, and whenever he tries to convince Rita he's not injured enough that she…
Congratulations, my good sir, you have just won the internets.
Genghis Khan was actual very progressive, except for the burning, pillaging, and raping type stuff. He established freedom of religion, he respected knowledge, learning from the peoples he conquered, and used very modern military strategies.
"It is of course perfectly natural to assume that everyone else is having a far more exciting time than you. Human beings, for instance, have a phrase that describes this phenomenon, 'The other man's grass is always greener.'
Johnathan? Jonathon? Johnathon? WHAT'S WRONG WITH FREAKIN' JONATHAN? And what's the world coming to that this browser's spellcheck accepts EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM?
