I missed all of that speculation! That would have been cool. I'd love to see Thompson in more - and bigger - roles.

Never thought of it. Now I want it!!!

Supergirl is a big exception. I think Legends of tomorrow does good work with the female characters too, after they did away with THAT storyline in season 1.

Supergirl isn't! There are mistakes (like Kara's story being centred around Mon-El this part of the season), but it's great most of the time.

That only works one way though - can you honestly imagine Kara being into him?

    Oh yeah. So dreamy.

    1. Missed that in the first paragraph! Perhaps also confused by "to sit back and watch his girlfriend put her life in danger " (which I'm now guessing you meant as a possible future scenario?).
    2. No, your third paragraph is about how difficult it would be for Mon-El to watch her do that.
    3. Yeah…Though he's already

    1. Kara is not his girlfriend.
    2. Kara's whole life is putting herself in danger. If a guy isn't fine with that, he probably shouldn't be with her.
    3. Mon-El really didn't know how to get rid of Mxyzptlk. He was almost as unhelpful as usual - except for telling Kara about the "getting them to say their name backwards"

And also a way to be generally defiant, right? I saw it as a subtle little 'fuck you'.

I used to be quite alright with the Mon-El character, but now that you bring up how he takes time from other characters - and just where the character's been going - it makes me annoyed he's there.

Re blinking out of there: I think the point was that he couldn't stop her from killing herself. So he could have left, but then she would have died. And since he's supposed to actually be earnestly infatuated with her, he doesn't want that.

    I like that idea.

Or the reviewer simply… liked it. People have different opinions sometimes, you know.

Huh. But if it's a rule 34 thing it's inevitable rather than sign of a trope, no?

Why would Tessa Thompson be in it? Don't get me wrong, I would love that, but I haven't heard anything suggesting that was the plan.

I disagree - I gave up on Atlanta after a couple of episodes because I found it boring as hell, but his acting in it is good.

    It's a little embarrassing.

Okay! Bad person works just fine, I think. Bad woman too.

"either invite everyone or just your friends". That means you can invite a smaller group if you want to. That's kind of the whole point actually - not to invite nearly the entire class, except for one or two.

    Maybe he's rich? Rich family?
