What I wrote about in the comment you replied to. The way he treats Annalise. I'm not saying she's better, but he certainly doesn't come off as a good person either.

Yes, Maze doesn't quite fit in with that concept…

    BULLSHIRT.

The word "alt" threw me off there for a bit, but thanks! :P

Has anyone here watched The Good Place? I kept thinking about that and different depictions of the afterlife. They have the whole human-made hell idea in common, but it's definitely treated differently on the shows. And I find myself wondering who designed Lucifer's hell (he might have ruled it, but did he create

I disagree. I don't think Nate is a particularly good person.

    :D

Even if it was god's plan that they fall in love, that doesn't mean it's not real. Free will and all. Unless there's something supernatural about her that in itself manipulates Lucifer to fall for her.

Of course he had a choice. But he wouldn't have had to make that choice in the first place if it weren't for his mother. And perhaps he realized he made the right choice.

Oh, I thought you were serious. XD I didn't remember much about that joke, only that Ben loves them.

    Yes, that would be acceptable.

I really liked the little sideplot of his fear after the encounter with that bad guy and then being sent into the field with Alex - but was a little disappointed at how that ended (though Winn is adorable when feeling triumphant). It's so refreshing to see a male character afraid of physical harm, and to really allow

That would have been much more interesting, but also pretty depressing. And totally plausible. Now I'm curious too!

I think J'onn and Winn are the only male characters on the show I care about keeping around. Winn hasn't gotten a lot of interesting stories, but there's potential (for an excellent side-kick character, which is all I really need from most people outside of the sister duo).

XD At least Xander was interesting, through most of his asshole behaviour.

Nah. (Sorry I just felt the need to express my opinion even if I had nothing of value to contribute to this conversation.)

I don't think Jimmy is anything like Riley. But he is pretty bland.

    Really? Why?

But the original Big bad show did it pretty well. I think you have to know why you're using that kind of obstacle before you start creating the character. And it works for some shows and not others.
