Only if it's the Director's Cut. Far superior to the Theatrical Cut, which I never hated, but it was really clunky in terms of pacing and character development. It felt really obvious that about an hour of film had been cut. I don't know if Netflix has that, but you can get the Director's Cut for cheap on Blu-Ray just

The Kingdom of Heaven Director's Cut is one of his best films. And really, A Good Year is an underrated and fun movie.

Yes! His last great film IMO. Also, A Good Year is a very underrrated and sweet fluff piece. American Gangster and Body of Lies were good. I'll grant them anything else, though. My God, The Counselor was just awful.

Yup, as a director, and he seems to count Kill Bill as just one film.

He wants to retire after 10 movies. The Hateful Eight will be his…8th film.

Word has it that he'd like to use 70mm to its full extent. I loved the cinematography of The Master and really liked the movie itself, but it did seem kind of silly to crop it, especially since it seemed that he was going to use the full frame.

I think you have your answer in The Lost World.

Funny because I've heard it's a pretty bad movie. A teacher of mine liked the book and thought it made for an awful film.

I've not read the script, but the screenwriter did a live Twitter commentary on the film as it was airing last night, and it seems like most of it was the director's fault.

Good stuff, but his criticism of the script was very misguided. Par for the course for critics, though.

Also, I think that there are different cuts of the movie. The screenwriter said this one was at least better edited.

Question for you two: Are those screenings in 35mm or in what format?

It doesn't even go THAT fast, does it?

(Applause)

And yet people say the downloaders are the evil ones.

I've caught this one on TV from time to time, it's fun. I've heard the audio commentary by Steve Zahn is hilarious. I've sort of wanted to get the DVD just to check that out.

I did the same thing. I'm not the best judge of what's good or bad, though.

Yup. One of the best endings ever.

Why would an AV Club reviewer or commenter make the point of saying someone's *not* a genius? Do you especially think he's *not* a genius?…You didn't even have to think about it, did you?
