1. When I watched "The End of Evangelion", I got to the "Komm, Susser Tod" sequence and I was a mess. Unfortunately, my parents were there and they had a beef with my brother over anime, and they picked right that time during THAT sequence to argue with my brother about it. I had to leave the room to collect myself

The opening of Frozen had a similar effect on me for some reason. It's not like I have kids, or that I hadn't seen Disney movies in a while, but watching the castle come in with "Vuelie" playing in the background reminded me of The Lion King. A little thing like that made me think that this was probably going to be

So, worth watching for Milioti, yes or no?

I still think Armageddon is kind of a terrible movie, but it's one of those bad movies that with a change in editing or tone it could've been a legitimately good movie, and at least you can sense that it's trying to make you care about what's going on

I didn't really like About Time, but I still found it affecting. I watched it with my sister, so in the sequence where the lead's sister is going through a rough time, really hit home. It reminded me of how much I love her and care for her, and also the sister's character reminds me of some friends and relatives

I choke up at the end too. I just love that last shot with everyone together and then Kenny, and the music getting all bombastic. Then, of course the cut to black followed by the punk-rock version of "What would Brian Boitano Do?" Too much glee compressed into a 5 minute span.

"I will always love you" was playing from a radio during my first kiss. It ruined the moment more than I already had.

My uncle once said that this was a fine film and worth fighting for. I don't agree with any part of that.

I have no idea if its in the Bible, but since I was a kid, I've been told that children get an automatic free pass into heaven. Then of course, I also had teachers (I went to a catholic private school for elementary) who said that kids could definitely go to hell, and many were there already, just for liking the wrong

Meanwhile, I watched the christian comedy "The Virgins" and while flawed in a lot of respects, was actually pretty enjoyable and sweet, and surprisingly raunchy in spots for a christian movie. It wouldn't be rated any higher than a PG-13, but still…

It was super fucked up, yeah, but surprisingly restrained in terms of style and directing. That's what I love about the show, it adds flourishes when it really works, but other times it allows itself to just let the shots and moments breathe by only showing you certain details.

I was thinking maybe today, but I'm almost sure that they've attached a trailer to Gone Girl, so maybe next week when it also premieres at the NYFF?

I love all of those shows, except for Deadwood which I've yet not seen. But even then, I struggle to rewatch entire shows because of the time commitment and I think every show has at least a few episodes I don't really care for. On the other hand, I rewatch a lot of movies. That said, I must've watched the final three

I always hated the audience bias thing with Ted's prospects. Yeah, sure, someone may find him/herself involved with some pretty horrible people throughout life, but I never liked how the show seemed to place the blame on the girls instead of Ted, it almost made him seem petty. The show did place the blame on Ted

Yeah, I hear you. Maybe not in the same ballpark, but here in Mexico we have to put up with graphic medicine commercials made by people who've apparently been watching too much CSI.

I didn't notice that at all. I didn't see any trailers or TV spots either, though, but that's because I don't really watch TV and I didn't seek any trailers because I wanted to hear some positive buzz first.

I mean, I don't necessarily enjoy watching torture scenes, but if filmmakers want to deal with that in movies, I don't see why they shouldn't.

I went to Yoga, then went to do some shopping for my UK trip next week. I realized I needed better shoes, but my feet are apparently too small for american guy's standards and I couldn't find any my size. I felt a bit self-conscious about it in front of the shoe salesgirls. I'll have to look for my size here in Mexico

You're not alone. I also enjoy Jersey Girl, not a great movie by any means, but it's charming and Carlin rocked the hell out of it. It made me hope I'm as cool as he is when I'm a dad or grandpa.

Then again, if you know it'll happen in the movie and you don't want to watch it, you don't have to watch it.
