Nobody can answer this. My example is the Datsun 120Y. Slow, with wobbly handling. Mostly driven by the elderly, and not regarded as being even remotely interesting.

So basically they’re trying to fit back into the niche that they’ve failed to fill so many times already? (And I’m open to the argument that it was never a niche in the first place).

Wow, I think I can smell that bus from here.

We call them Akubras and Maccas, but pretty much the same.

VAG’s idea of ‘lifetime’ is about 160,000km IIRC, but I don’t know if that’s an official number or something that forum dwellers like to assure each other of.

Like the guy who went to church twice on Sundays and prayed to God five times a day for all his life that he might win the lottery.

The Aussie equivalent would be the complete works of Chopper Read and a machete.

It seems to me that with the exception of the AC electricals, they simply left out everything else that would have to comply with any standard. No gas fitting for example (which I could probably live with, I prefer to cook outside). Given there’s no battery/solar, I’d guess that there’s nothing terribly complex about

Looks great, quality build, but it’s a showcase of what tradespeople can do with an empty shell, not built by (or for) anyone who thought about travelling in it.

But what a great way to to exploit the Streisand effect.

Kind of a tough call. The Mondial had the reputation for being one of the easier Ferrari’s to maintain (compared to what, I’d rather not imagine).

Like certain ocean-based theme parks it will be staffed by marine biologists. But they’re just there because people want to pat the dolphins and be kissed by a sea lion.

His Dad bought him a ‘74 4 door Monaro. Even in the ‘90s they were a rare classic, now they are as rare as rocking-horse manure.

I drive recovery at a racetrack and see a lot of ‘offs’. The proper ones are barely noticeable after they’ve gone off.

A bit like how people were using toilet bowl cleaner to clean their motorbike exhaust headers. Looks great guys!!!1!!

Or bring the land to it... They could either tow the ship to a suitable place, or leave it literally right there, and fill the area around the ship. Then the pumps and systems involved in keeping it afloat won’t be needed any more - there’s a big maintenance overhead taken off their hands right there. Probably would

My guess is the pilot was looking down at a checklist and didn’t realise that there was thrust until the crunch came. Or he forgot he was on water and assumed that the park brake was holding it.

#2 - I mean, don’t get into fights. It’s dumb and it gets you banned and maybe hurt. But as a racetrack marshal, I know that fights can be broken up swiftly by grabbing the chin bar and yanking downwards. Control the head and you control the body. Also there’s no risk of getting bitten through a helmet.

“That’s a nice little debt you have there. It would be a... shame... if anything happened to make it worse.”

However, the Fluke multimeter on the floor next to the driver’s seat makes me wonder if confirms that there are electrical issues.
