I’ve got to disagree, the car depicted is an (Australian) EF Falcon. Primitive ABS, no TC, and quite a powerful engine for a family sedan (because ‘Straya). I had one for about 20 years, so I know this: You absolutely do not want to use the CC in this model of Falcon on wet roads. Nothing about what you just said

You think that this warning is bullshit because you have never driven a 90's Australian Ford Falcon (as depicted in the crash photo), and certainly not in the rain.

Soon.

So towing a car simply because somebody accuses it of being illegally parked... isn’t that theft? or at interference with a vehicle at the very least?

Recent 2011 V6 TDI Touareg owner here. I haven’t had it for long enough to fully know what maintenance costs are. While it’s still a luxury SUV, the tech seems to have been dialled back a lot though.

Just needs six scottoilers for the chain drives for longevity when daily-driving..

I hate that statement too. I want to live doing what I love.

Or, a slight variation, take existing rules, and strike any one rule out at random and teams can do whatever the hell they can conceive of in that particular space.

Dad joke dad car.

The dreaded “toilet surprise” light!

This for sure. Have camped at a lot of racetracks, it’s better to get away from the toilets. In addition to the noise and smell, everybody who has to go will traipse past your tent. All night. Depends on the track, but usually a camp near the boundary fence works best for me.

“Thank you,” said Arthur, “now I think I really am going to be ill.”

It’s a knuckle-blood production and distribution system that fills the panel gaps and holes to make the car more or less self repairing.

Definitely an issue - most roof racks are rated for 75kg (including the weight the racks and whatever luggage system you have), and halve that number when offroad. Some can take more, but not by much.

I have, but only for the comments.

If would have gone through if they had fitted a diesel gate instead of just cutting a hole.

The Lucas electric taxi: The first vehicle to achieve the speed of dark.

It appears to be a practice session, not a race. Riders usually don’t hold a hand up to warn other riders unless it’s an informal session with limited flag marshals on track. If it was a practice session, then No. 86 shouldn’t have been ‘trying for position’ and should have given more room.

This is what you would get if you told a Transformer to turn into a Ferrari FF without actually showing it a picture of one. And then went “Eh... close enough.”
