I thought Joker was pretty good but Joaquin Phoenix’s performance is the only thing about it I’d consider award worthy.

If they’re smart, they’ll build the new iteration of the show around Margo and Elliot who are not only the best actors of the bunch but also the most interesting characters.

Whatever problems exist in the sequel trilogy don’t include the cast who all did a very good job with what they were given.

One of the reasons they never stopped playing Tom Sawyer (unlike Closer to the Heart which they retired for a while) is that Neil always felt challenged playing the song.  Even after 30+ years he still had to push himself.

Yeah. I think the first episode is there to ease movie fans into the series but it pretty quickly establishes its own weird identity after that (even with the cameos from the original characters)
