Shelter Cat Update!

Hi Jezzies,

Block caller.”

My dudes. I have had a win!!! I received word from my state’s Victims of Crime department and they BELIEVE ME. All the facts laid out to them in black and white and they are on my side. And they have paid me the highest amount available for the nature of the crime, plus lost wages. So to celebrate, I took myself off

Maria, I love you right now! You’ve just made my week!

Yeah, I’m an AEMT and have seen a lot of gross stuff (a motorcyclist patient who pretty much had his foot amputated in an accident, plenty of people who have shit themselves, etc.), but not really anything gross coworker stuff.

In Navy boot camp, everyone spends a week or so working in the base mess hall cooking food for all the other recruits. When Seaman Recruit Ghost had to take his turn, he was assigned to the mess hall bakery. This bakery was run by this tall, rangy guy who had been in the Navy for 16 years, yet was only a third-class

I work in a lab, so I see a lot of gross shit on the daily but most of the time it’s not from my coworkers.  I do have one coworker who insists on clipping her fingernails while sitting at her desk in a shared office.

Biopsy is scheduled for 3/6, which feels like a year away. Hopefully this turns out to be nothing. My anxiety is through the roof. What if I can’t even afford treatment?

Fashion thread? I’m a little later than usual so this might get buried. This is an outfit sourced entirely from Goodwill! Except the shoes, haha. Anne Klein blazer, NYDJ brand jeans.

30 is not even remotely too old; there is no such thing as too old. Wear what you like.

I got my wedding dress! My fiancé and I agreed on Hawaii in May, but he works in China and with the whole virus situation, may be evacuated, which could mean we get hitched as early as mid-March. So I ordered the dress to be prepared. He might also be asked to stay on throughout the outbreak, and then he might not be

I need good vibes my way because my final house safety inspection for fostering/ adopting is on the 6th. Everybody tells me not to be nervous, but that never really works. The case worker I have gave the house a once over and only said that I need to get rid of a broken candleholder ( it was very cheap and I have no

Uupdate. I haven’t wanted to put this in the universe (because we all know god likes to say Ha! to me) but i started an FTE job 3 weeks ago. The contract gig kept dragging their feet so I had to jump. So along with the gig comes insurance for the first time in 2 years. Here’s hoping I can finally get at least one of

I paid off my mortgage yesterday! It took me 18 years, but it was 7 years early on a 25 year mortgage.

That’s beautiful! I want to hang it on my wall!

I am freaking out because I have a home inspection for becoming a foster parent. I am in no way ready because I have to get locks on some cabinets and my handyman and I are arguing about whether the fire extinguishers need a piece of wood affixed to the wall to put them on the wall when I am sure all we need to do is

I’m so sorry. I think as hard as a lengthy illness is, a sudden passing leaves you in shock as well as grief.
