Hi Lovelies. A fast question, how do you deal with low grade, persistent pain? I’m getting older, but very active, and I think, healthy. No diabetes, etc. but I think I have persistent low grade inflammation, and my neck and shoulders persistently ache. At night, it’s feet, knees, neck and shoulders. I’m doing

That would frame beautifully.  Really nice.

Oh, I’ve been there. Here’s a cheap and cheerful fix for grout. Home Depot sells “grout pens” that you can cover the stained grout with. Really easy and do a surprisingly good job! Not perfect , but better, I’ll take that.

I’m sorry. You can bless the home and start over together. Try to imagine it as a place of peace and light. Paint some happy color in small places. Put out bowls of rock salt, clean floors and open windows.

Thank you! We are doing this too. The amount of food we waste is just wrong. I’d be interested in tips on how people are achieving this.  We are doing the obvious things, buying less, cooking smaller portions.  Another cost of food waste is transport.  We are lucky enough to have a garden area, so are growing easy

Thank you for your post. I was raised going to JW church too. I never believed it for a second and that broke my mother’s heart. She was abandoned as a child by both parents, and then my father married her and took her away from her indigenous family. The witnesses became her real family, her brothers and sisters.

I worked for a small nonprofit, so small that there were two of us in the local office. And, my co-worker was awful. So much gender and race implications in how he treated me. He was older, white and better educated and deeply believed he should be the boss of me. But he wasn’t, our positions were equal and

We love that movie!

So, there’s some research that shows that journaling helps people return to the workforce quicker. I haven’t looked into it, but it’s linked to quicker and more complete processing of end of joy emotions and changes in micro expressions, other emotional tells.  Here’s a link.  https://www.createwritenow.com/journal-wr

So, see your boss to give them a heads up, but make it easy and send a follow up email with the details. Something easy to forward, it will make it quicker to sort out.  Put the time and amounts in, if it doesn’t break confidentiality.

So, go recruit at places that might have the type of roomie you want. I used to routinely send to military base housing offices, hospitals and the university. A little time, a couple fliers and you are in a different recruitment pool. Good luck!

I once broke up with a cheating ex by having a batch of long stemmed dog biscuits delivered to his house, during Super Bowl, when all his drunken buddies  were there.  I made them by beheading a batch of roses and typing dog bisquets to the stems.  He died a slow death while his friends roasted him.   They must have

I had surgery to correct a deviated septum in December. It was great! Breathing is amazing, I really like it. I have no idea how my nose was broken, but it was, and the surgery is not terrible.  The recovery was not bad, and immediately I felt better.  Funny benefit, my anxiety is way down.

I have that problem, never get numb. Turns out I have an extra sublingual nerve that needs anesthetic in a particular location. Once that was found, magic, pain free dental work.

I talk about my positive attitude towards my coworkers. That I’ll let small things remain small things, that I value a pleasant, cooperative workplace and actively work towards that. Then I’ll mention that I can wade in on big things if I have to, but only after careful consideration. IME, work is 30% accomplishments

I was able to quit drinking many years ago, and stay stopped. It’s a gift. For me, what helped was going to aa meetings. Not because I worked a great program, but it was really helpful to hear other people’s honest experiences and learn from them. Here’s my advice. Don’t listen to the little voices in your head

That sounds terrible, and fun and really rewarding.  Quick tip, get to know the Restore store in your area.  We got all kinds of household stuff there, including this cool chandelier.

I use and love freecycle. I’ve kept a running list of what I’ve freecycled, everything from pirate boots to hampster cages.  It’s a nice way to gift to others, and I like the energy of sending things to where they are needed and wanted.
