Men will have more choices anyway and don’t need women’s spaces to get ahead.

I know it is from The Matrix, but it has become synonymous to the MRA movement in recent years: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?ter…
No, I can’t understand why denying men membership to a club would be the right thing to do, while simultaneously demanding access to an all male club? If women want to be among themselves in their clubs, how can they deny men the same privilege?
It’s of course a rhetorical question. I don’t expect women to open any female clubs to men. Not opening all female clubs to men when demanding access to all male clubs defies logic, but logic isn’t in demand, when discussing gender issues it seems.
It’s not a numbers game or a question of whether men want to join or not, it’s a matter of principle. You cannot demand access to all male clubs in the name of gender equality and deny others the same right to your club(s). That defies not only logic but also common decency.
Oh wait, so no opening for male members until a “decent” number of male clubs are opened for female members? Since “decent” is undefined, that either means no opening for male members at all or after *all* male clubs have been opened for female members. Yes sparky, that is the true definition of ‘gender equality’.
So, it should be just a matter of time, until the 5 all female final clubs at Harvard will be open to male members, no?
I’ve watched The Captive, interesting concept, but I was still not sold on Rexnolds. Gyllenhaal gets better and better with every movie. Baldwin is a favorite of mine, a dick in reallife it seems, but a great actor who does it all. Action movies (esp. in his younger years), leading man and insanely funny (30 Rock).
Marilyn was right!
As a logical consequence, this columnist practically hangs a sign on every prostitute that says ‘Please rape at your convenience’. So prostitutes are essentially fair game to her. Urgh...
Unless those movies make a minimum of three times their cost, then they lost money.
Ryan Reynolds is a mystery to me. He’s the male equivalent to the talentless pretty blonde who just keeps getting jobs. He’s bland and uninteresting. He’s not funny enough and lacks timing for comedies and he’s also not the superhero/ tough guy type for action movies. Do I sound a little harsh? I don’t hate the guy, I…
I guess that’s the thing with high heels, they’re supposed to look fashionable. You want something more robust, get yourself some boots.
Candice Swanepoe took a terrible tumble at the Givenchy show.
The only way studios stop making movies using a certain formula, is when that formula is no longer successful.
Two points
You realize, that 90% of all the movies on that list were made in the last 10 - 15 years? Are you telling me that you haven’t realized yet, that the film landscape has significantly changed during that period, as far as leading roles for women in action/superhero movies is concerned? My point is, as of yet, studios go…
I have no idea, what you’re trying to tell me. I told you that Cruise made 33 movies as a leading actor so far. Those movies grossed almost $7 billion worldwide, that’s an average of about $210 million per movie. You can hate the guy as much as you want, but he is highly successful. The only dud in your list is Rock…
Watch the first three Mad max movies and notice who the central character was, then watch MM - Fury Road and tell me that Furiosa is not central to the plot, with Mad Max playing second fiddle to her. The producers did not reveal that beforehand, pure and simple. It’s like Jennifer Lawrence Katniss character being…
