Brian, I remember you mentioning a while back you were on the hunt for medals. Did you/your family pre-order or do anything special for this release in order to receive any special medals?

Ditto here, especially for the golden era games like CT, SoM, FFIV, FFVI. Once the credits start to roll, and the closing song comes on, it's like its time to put your toys back in the closet; it's been a great adventure once again, see you next time.

Right on! Glad to see the green light. I'm still holding off a bit longer, but looks like 2015 will be a killer time to pick one up for cheap with a nice catalog to boot.

But the real question is, will Level-5 and partners release more limited edition movie-related Yokai Watch medals for parents to scoop up for their kids??

Dragon Quest XI on PS4? It could happen.

Still waiting for the DQ7 announcement for the US... Would love to play the Japanese version if I could find a way to bypass the region lock.

I saw the controller, but didn't recognize it and mistook it as a part of a 5200 controller. I missed out on Star Raiders; never knew anyone that had that (that I can recall, anyway).

I missed out on it originally, but I ended up playing it a bit via the 2600 emulated version found in Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure for SNES.

2600 is definitely a rough-around-the-edges console, especially by today's standards, but there were good games for it that kept us entertained. Being my first console back in the day, I played it quite a bit for a couple years... It's all we had til we finally got a NES!

Missile Command and Defender were both great for the 2600! And Berzerk too! holy crap. Looks like they were dumping everything.

Still, very cool they found all these!

I used to go to the Final Fantasy Legend 1 sound menu just to listen to all the music over and over again... in stereo!

@2:08 "Oh, hai there! Let me grab those for you."

There's already a Street Fighter knockoff Chinese Sex Pills you can find in most bodegas in NYC - Ryu and Chun Li as the "Stree[t] Overlords"

I always feel like... somebody's watching me....

Nice, thanks for sharing! Cool you got to meet up. I'm personally looking forward to hearing what Iga moves onto next — I think it will be a good refresher for him, and I'm sure he will align himself with the people he needs to help him realize whatever the next project will be.

Ah no shit? The press release made it sound like it was a new feature. Personally never played but curious to - ahem - give it a shot!

Did you see the scope mode preview for their new Silent Scope - Bone Eater game? Apparently, you get a health recovery bonus for finding the cuties:

Ditto here, and I too would like to, *ahem*, give them a shot!

I agree - I wish I had asked the last time I had blood work done. I'm real squeamish about blood work in general, so I typically pass on donations. But next time I have any work done, well, it can't hurt to ask!

It's funny how little western cultures care about blood type. When I first started learning Japanese, one of the questions that always came up was "what is your blood type?". How the heck should I know!? We really don't keep tabs on these things in the US. But to them, it made all the difference in personality, and

Ha ha, yep! I do love how you respawn right there. Brings to mind the series of final bosses in Ninja Gaiden, where if you messed it up you had to go allllllll the way back, and that would just kill the replayability.
