I'm close friends with Korehira's daughter, and while I don't know what the swords go for, I can say that he was able to raise a family in a modest house in rural Japan (Date-shi, Hokkaido), and put two daughters mostly through school. Also, a lot of his swords are sold to collectors, mostly from Europe and North

Somewhere, at my folks place, is my trove of old game mags. I had a Gamepro subscription for a couple years in the early '90s, and yes - I still have the first issue of Gamepro (which I received free from Toys 'R Us, nice!) Though, I'm fairly sure I cut it up for pictures to hang around my childhood bedroom, I'm glad

Been enjoying Skyward Sword a lot, and perhaps more so than recent Zeldas because my wife has taken an active interest. I'm happy just to let her play and help guide! And always nice to have that someone special there pointing out what you missed or something to investigate.

Whatever became of the whole Doki Doki / Dream Factory series that US SMB2 was based on? Did the Japanese have some kind of fallout with Arabic culture and have to leave it in the sand?

Really good import game was Mr. Driller in Drill Land. Amusement park + fun varieties of classic Mr. Driller action with superbly animated Namco characters? It was pretty rad. Sadly, never made it to the states.

I saw this and the first that came to mind was Tingle...

Find some street date breakers! Any non-chain retailer that sells games tend to do this. Just picked up SML3D last Friday at lunch.

Where do you put the number tiles?

Japanese secretly have an arsonist fetish!

Getting deeper into Rage's campaign, Solving riddles and puzzles in prof Layton: last specter, and a d&d szechuan on sunday!

"...two basketball superstar best friend ghost hunters who are also investigator spies that use the power of awesome motorcycle stunts to save their village from the Sadness King week after week."

I feel like I'm in this same boat and just did the same thing with Rage on PC. Started playing with Mouse / Keyboard, and before long, I was using my 360 controller pretty much exclusively, except for the sniper mini-games (which is crack shot after crack shot; just couldn't keep up on the controller but nailed it

Ditto here with avoiding all the new content for the games. I just want to play the damn thing, not see how someone else made it through the stage / shootout / jungle boss / etc.

Maybe it's just me, but does "Rumble Blast" sound like a euphemism for explosive diarrhea? Seriously! That's my "gut check"... ahhh

fun, yes, but that head is so creepy!

LOL, the Walmart imagery was great. So glad I don't live near one.

Was just thinking the same thing. She really wants to attempt the American Size challenge (and could probably eat all competitors under the table in said challenge).

Nothing beats having a metabolism that's through the roof!

LOL, yes this is sad but true. They really should call it American sized, in all countries. Sounds like something out of the movie Idiocracy.

Couldn't agree more that sound makes a huge difference, esp. any sequence where there's cutscenes, intros, endings, boss battles, etc. A small action puzzle game? OK, maybe forgiveable. A first-play through of a new Layton game? That's downright Sacrilege in my book.
