Honestly, I think we are really on the brink of seeing a resurgence of arcades. It's something I've seriously considering opening with friends, much like the story of Arcade UFO in Austin.

@cmbuzzkill: ha, i know the feeling. it's like, ok, just one more try for that DQ slime can't hurt, right?

@kidko: don't forgot bob cock, aka les claypool, who did the music

de Review was encouraging! Looking forward to hearing de tunes!

@photoboy: Exactly, I think the paradigm you just described is easy enough for anyone interested, but could potentially take more steps than existing methods. Other than copying the necessary shell files on a Micro SD card, the R4 is no more difficult than finding ROM images.

though, the cd's can be a bit pricey in japan (1 CD = $20~25 yeowtch!) depends on the artist!

Maracas covers for Samba De Amigo. No, seriously!

Brian and Adam:

@Cagmin: Ditto, this was one of the first things that popped in my mind here. It was worth it!

@LordBowserKoopa: spot on, man. one life only for each character was really lame!

I enjoyed my hand-me-downs as a kid. My grandmother looked after a boy who was like 2 years older and inevitably, always had a large sack of new clothes to dig through! and yep, this usually meant treasure.

... reviving 2D classics that is. Really need to add an edit feature here!

@gfyjo: Amen. Cheers to all Grin for doing such a fantastic job. My wife can't understand my addiction to both the game and the soundtrack, which accompanies me at such finer places like my shower and my work desk.

Soma FM, KEXP, and WOXY are my main weapons of choice here at work, the latter two having all kinds of great variety. Though, I too suffer from same song repeat syndrome too, with the new NIN in particular.

About damn time!

Ha brilliant! I didn't get that when I was first playing the game, on a 747 en route to Japan no less. I thought about looking it up.. but it had long slipped my mind when I touched down. Great find, and cheers to the Alt-Yoda clan!

Oh man, my poor sis has twins on the way and is currently planning on going natural. I wonder what the hell kind of analogy that would bring?

No Dinosaurs! What DID they have back then? Woolly mammoths?

This has easily been the best announcement for Wii all month! Kinda sad, kinda sweet. Definitely looking forward to this one!
