Ingratitude? Unions have their issues, but it is weird to hear people talk about their employer like their own father. Labor is like any other cost, sellers want more for it, buyers want to pay less. Loyalty goes both ways.

I don’t know of all jobs in the world, but I have worked with a variety of teams that suffer prima donnas in..
It’s strange that they wouldn’t just push MagLev tech instead. Compared to the Hyperloop, it’s cheaper.
My wife drives a 2004 Buick Terreza, only 60K miles and she got it for $3000. Leather and power everything, DVD player with wireless headphones, not a bad deal. Besides, all the rich muckymucks in Asia are riding in lux minivans - you can do a lot with all that space.
Get a new lease on a new car and just Turo the shit out of the BMW?
We have a friend with this condition as well. He also ended up in the hospital. Sometimes you just gotta treat vegetables like medicine and choke them down.
Your last two paragraphs are perfect. I am old enough to remember when Uber didn’t compete on price. The ability to find a “taxi” outside a popular area, with up to the minute updates and mapping on where the taxi is, and I don’t have to carry cash? That is worth a premium over the old call and hope taxi regime.
True, but I will never forget getting pulled over in Gunnison, CO for tailgating (the guy was going 15 under) and the sheriff looking at me and saying, “Calm down son. We don’t do that kind of mess like they do in the city.”
Back in 2001 I met a gorgeous blonde and took her on a date in downtown Indy (I’m black). I thought the service at the high end restaurant was fine until she kept complaining our waitress brought her visibly dirty wine glasses. Like food speck filled wine glasses. It was disgusting.
I concede they may get more for current accounts, but I wonder how much more given that complete forgiveness was the preferred option.
Selling the debt would only get them 5% or so. Plus there is still admin work for all those accounts - billing history, card agreements - just in case there are disputes or what not. Forgiving the debt offers a completely clean break and some nice publicity for the cost of the 5% of the outstanding revolving debt.
I’ve spent a lot of time in all three places. Chicago Metro is HUGE. You can find plenty of commonalities between parts of Chicago and Quincy or East STL.
To be fair, “Italian” is a relatively new language and Italy is a relatively new country. Italian is an agreement that everyone should just speak Tuscan. Before then both culture and language was fragmented. Even the lyrics to the Italian National Anthem recognize this. I read that young Italians say that young…
I am still trying to find pictures from NHRA Championships in Morrison a few years ago. I got stupidly close to the line (I had an escort who was hoping for many sponsorship dollars) and the heat off those cars is insane.
So you are counting Vin Diesel’s uncredited cameo in 2Fast 2Furious? I am not sure he would.
not profitable doesn’t equal “not being used”
The Ski Train from Denver to Winter Park sells out in minutes
There was a 30 for 30 on this. The NFLPA sells endorsements to financial advisors with no questions asked, so the guy that is NFLPA certified may not be a guy who knows what he is doing.
25 electrified models of BMW??? Why?
I would never take a red eye for work, but for personal trips absolutely. I have never experienced a delay on red eyes (fingers crossed) and hotels from Orlando to Dubai have been generous enough to let us check in first thing in the morning at no extra charge if I need extra Zs.
