From Car and Driver sometime in the early 2000s:

The Bricklin SV-1 is the practical Canadian choice.

There’s a place in suburban Philadelphia that rents both gorilla costumes and Bobcat front loaders. I always thought that could be a winning combination.

Can I please get out of the greys? I really only comment on parking in Philly and make terrible Star Wars jokes. After writing that, I think, maybe I deserve the greys...

Adventure, excitement? Auto blogger quizzes? A Jedi craves not these things.

Seriously. The Stasi could have learned some stuff from them. I still take pictures of parking meters (where there are still meters) when I park.

There are plenty of those, but they don’t work for Philly residents. I live in South Philly. I have a permit parking for my neighborhood, but I see those George Smith signs everywhere. You have to be really careful where you park.

It's the vacant lot on South Broad, just south of Washington and the Boot & Saddle. To any normal motorist, it looks like a vacant lot. There really isn't any reason to think you shouldn't park there.

I live in South Philly and I won't park next to a cut curb. And George Smith signs are on every one of those curbs in my neighborhood.

I’ve driven by that lot literally thousands of times. My friend works at the bar next to it. It’s vacant. Like most South Philly drivers, I have a fear of George Smith and his fleet of trucks. I can totally see them pulling something like this.

I’m a South Philly resident and George Smith signs are everywhere from my pho spot to my beer store to my alternate pho spot. I see their trucks on the roads all the time. When I park anywhere other than metered parking on South Broad, I check obsessively. I’ve always suspected it was a racket. Suspicion confirmed.

Who cares? It's gorgeous.

As a Philly resident, I'm aware of the ordeals your vehicle will go through. You either need an early eighties Jeep CJ-7 or the more obvious answer, a Lancia Beta Scorpion.

I blew past an immaculate Justy in my E28 on Thanksgiving. Had to slow down, let him catch up and beep and give him the thumbs up. Gotta respect someone who keeps and maintains a vintage Subaru.
