I think it’s more about pointing out that had they dedicated the same time, effort, and money to increasing the system’s resiliency as they have to denying they needed to do anything and prop up old technologies, then maybe they’d be in a better position to deal with such major disasters when they inevitably happen.

I think they will buy it because it lets them get to location quicker and still have the benefits of a phontoon. The Jet drive is nice for shallow water fishing.

My folks have an aging pontoon cruiser, this is like... this checks boxes on the replacement that didn’t exist before! Something that could be fun for towing with a big flat deck, that is the sweet spot for a lot of people.
