There are too many. In my state we kill at minimum 500,000 whitetail deer a year with rifles, shotguns, bows, and crossbows and still plow our cars into deer all the time. Agreed, people who bought Fiestas or Focuses will go somewhere else now, not buy an suv they don’t need. If they have a good experience at Kia/Mazda/Toyota etc. you’re losing customers for life

This strikes me as a choice that Ford may find regrettable when gas prices climb back up. But I’d assume that Ford has put much more thought into this decision than I have.
