Remember, Miles didn’t come to the program expecting to coach against Saban - he literally came to replace him. Saban left LSU for the Dolphins after the 2004 season and Miles was his successor. That Saban is also one of the primary reasons for Miles losing the LSU gig is pretty wacky.
