I guess Jalopnik doesn’t know very much about Porsches. Those aren’t the egg headlights. These earlier ones are:

Fun fact: Rock Lobster was once also a color available for Jeep Wranglers. It looked like an old faded red.

Looks good. Surprised by the rear wheel drive bit, especially considering the Explorer is front wheel drive.

In this case, it seems he was trying to do what was best for the state. The problem is he was too dumb to understand how dangerous self driving cars could be, and how far away they are from being ready for prime time.

Don’t forget about the Jeep Yeti edition!

Why are we posting “spy” pics of a car that had official images released in January?

I think you’re 1/2 right. Many people buy a Jeep Rubicon because it’s the most expensive. Most expensive automatically means best for your needs, right? For the F150, they have a Platinum which is certainly a tier above the Raptor. In my opinion, Ford could sell a lot of F150s that have a Raptor appearance package

While I like the idea of a wide body Cayenne for high speed off-roading, there is a problem. The Cayenne was not developed as an off-roader. While this may not seem important, there is a lot more to being able to do something over and over than just a lift kit and big shocks. For example, one day my 911 had the frunk

If you manage Ford Product Communications in North America, why are you commenting on a RHD vehicle? Do you know the details of this truck because a LHD version is coming to North America?

Seriously, no center diffs in modern WRC cars? What kind of AWD system do they use?

I’m guessing having the front and rear driveshafts locked together changes the brake bias. I think this video shows Ford has the brake bias tuned for dry pavement, not snow. If the same test was done on dry pavement, I’m guessing 2wd would stop shorter.

Even if they were the exact same price I’d still take the Wrangler. It’s better in every way.

Exactly. I can put a 400 hp V8 and big brakes on a Wrangler for way less than 200k. Actually, AEV already does that. You can buy those new from a dealer, built on AEV’s assembly line in Michigan.

(the original XJ Jeep Cherokee also had a composite tailgate!). I think you forgot about the SJ Cherokee. That’s the original Cherokee. Didn’t you just buy one of those??

Can you explain how a full time t-case helps pass a brake test?? I’m not following.

Came here to say this. The JL will probably be 3k more. In 2019 be prepared to pay even more for the diesel.

Why did they use magnesium for the tailgate??

1. I find documentaries on Nazis all the time on Netflix.

I’ve always been surprised these have not been featured in a movie, not even a documentary that I know of.
