This happened to me last week. I noticed in the email it used my nickname instead of my real name so I figured it was bogus. I went on the Amazon site and my password worked fine. What I mean by nickname is, for example, my name is Anthony Smith, the email had Tony Smith instead. Which is not anywhere in my account.
