I get it. When my local Taco Cabana stopped carrying their Salsa Fuego I stopped eating there. That was one of the reasons I liked their food in the first place. It makes sense that Chipotle would rather make their famous salsa with different chilies that not carry it at all.

I love my air fryer oven, but my pizza always turns out like you described above. The top and edges are nicely browned, but the center dough is never as crispy as I would like. I’m curious if a folded and oiled piece of foil under the center of the pizza would do the trick?

Yup...my go to is a double cheeseburger with ONLY mac sauce and onions. I’ve been ordering it that way for years and years.

We’re big fans of Little Caesars, especially their cheesy Italian breadsticks. Second would be Pizza Hut. Interestingly, I recently figured out that I could save pizza and breadsticks by putting them in Food Saver bags and popping them in the freezer. When I took them out, I popped them in the air fryer and they were

Food waste is one of my biggest pet peeves, so each Sunday, I scour the fridge for anything I need to use up. From there, I decide what recipes to make for the week.

I would much rather have lower than average rent for a great, long renting tenant. The cost of advertising, deep cleaning and interviewing potential renters IMO is totally worth it. I guess if your building belongs to a corporation, then all they see is their bottom line today.

When I bought my HUD duplex in 2005, my elderly Dad was my first tenant. We installed grab bars in front of and behind the toilet, as well as all three walls of the tub. Little did I know 14 years later, I would be living on that side of the duplex and wind up with a broken ankle. These were life savers for sure.

When we lived in San Jose, CA we loved shopping at Safeway (20+ years ago) but now that we live in Texas, we occasionally visit their fancier sister store Randall’s. They have fantastic sales, often beating out Walmart and even our local Dollar Tree price wise (think 10 for $10). When they have sales on chicken or

My son worked at a chicken wing restaurant and even though he wasn’t manning the fryers, oil droplets would land on his work shirt and jeans. If we didn’t use the right detergent and temp, those oils would simply float around in the washer and attach themselves to whatever we were washing along with them.

I’d like to add salad dressing to this list. They carry brands I like (Wish Bone, Kraft) and they are usually $1 cheaper than Walmart. Big Lots specializes in buying in bulk from places like Walmart.

We miss you Chris Kimball :(

I love rewatching episodes of Sarah’s Weeknight Meals, America’s Test Kitchen and Sandra Lee’s Semi Homemade. I feel like these are all totally doable recipes for the average cook.

Something tells me it’s the Editor that decides when articles get published and not the author.

I would like to add slow cooker recipes to this list. There are so many great dump and go recipes out there. They are a great starting point for someone first learning to cook.

I may own my house, but my cat owns the windowsills. She agrees with all of the above.

I had the exact same reaction my first time ordering one too. Then I decided to take my Mom and then, again, with my Sister. Now it’s an inside joke with our family. Any time something should be turned upside down, we say “you have to blizzard it”.

I’ve noticed more and more places, especially mom and pop, are charging a “convenience fee” for customers using a credit card. They are effectively scewing over their employees that count on tips. My $50 meal now costs me $53.00, and then I’m expected to pay a tip on top of that of 20%? We’ve pretty much stopped going

I think one of the qualifications left out is they cannot be lactose intolerant.

Add sliced onions and baby carrots to the bottom of a slow cooker. Add a 2-3 pound chuck roast on top. Pour in 1 can Cheese soup, 1 can French Onion soup and 1 can Golden Mushroom soup. Cook that for 8 hours on low and serve with mashed potatoes. You can even prepare the night before and leave the crock in your fridge.

I just bought a personal sandwich maker, kind of like a mini panini press. I’ve been testing all sorts of food on it. Hash browns, pizza, breadsticks, chicken fajitas, frozen chicken wings. This sandwich will be my next adventure. Thank you, Claire!
