Now I regret procrastinating watching the second season. I felt the same way after AP Bio got canceled a second time.
I mean, there’s been some leeway in the past for shows that were critical darlings even if they weren’t doing very well in the ratings. I’m pretty sure Treme averaged six viewers per episode... all of which were TV critics that had fallen asleep in their bean bag chairs.

I mean, they gave Girls like 6 seasons and that show had a tiny viewership. The Americans ran on FX for 6 seasons solely because it was so highly regarded. Also, I think most everyone here understands that quality doesn’t necessarily translate to viewership. That doesn’t mean we have to be happy about it though.
