He and Trump both constantly mug the camera, always aiming for a particular look (Trump: serious and determined, Elon: like he’s in on the joke) and always always always miss by a mile.

Not that it’s unusual, but it’s really something to behold to see someone who believes they’re brilliant simply because they are obscenely rich just fumble about like a insecure man-child.

As always, it is important to note that Elon Musk has permanent “smell the fart” face.

It’s true. I know three people personally, all nobodies like myself with a 100 or so followers, and two of them had Musk go from blocked to muted and for the other Musk was just unblocked entirely. It’s utterly bizarre. And apparently even people who have him blocked (or reblocked him) are still having his tweets show

“Owning the libs” is just an illusion Conservatives (and not just rich ones) use to try to escape from the fact they are the most miserable assholes around.

I saw a post on Twitter saying that Elon has been actively unblocking his account from users who had him blocked, which, if true, is fucking hilarious.

Yes, all billionaires should vote Republican, it’s their only natural constituency.

I used to think “money can’t buy you happiness” was nonsense to keep poor people in their station, but Elon Musk has so much money and spends all his time arguing with people online and desperately seeking validation that he’s cool. He’s truly miserable.

You’re saying Elon spent $44 billion just to annoy some strangers on the internet?

I don’t know what’s more pathetic. Being the world’s richest man and getting off on being “edgy” and “owning the libs” by spending billions of dollars so people can yell the N word in the name of “free speech”... or being a random internet commenter and admiring said rich edgelord’s boner.

You’re imagining Musk’s boner? Talk about username/comment synergy.

I take it “slavery was a choice” wasn’t enough reason to dump this asshole 4 years ago?

It would have been a hell of a lot cooler if all of these powerful firms and individuals had decided not to prop this lunatic up after the other 2,000 crazy or dangerous things he said or did but before he totally embraced white supremacism and antisemitism. It’s hard to put the insane neo-Nazi nitwit back in the barn

“I didn’t read any of the actual reporting on the details of the allegations, but I feel perfectly comfortable criticizing them as baseless.”

That was my first thought reading the article. I thought Beck was way bigger than Arcade Fire, but maybe that is just my bias because I never got what the big deal was with Arcade Fire.

To be more specific, entertainers of his generation. In the 70s and 80s when Murray first got big there were far fewer people called out for poor behavior in general.  Cosby the most extreme example.

And I know just the person for the job...

There are plenty of celebs (and others in positions of influence) who aren’t pieces of shit, but you seldom know before a person is given money and a platform who that’s going to be.

It’s surprising that actors (particularly comedians) keep using that excuse despite a proven track record of not really working.

Judge: Mr Murray, you have been accused of sexual assault, and it has corroborated by several witnesses. What is your defence?
