Don't have an opinion on a domestic abuser? Someone who struck her husband, used psychological abuse then concocted a lie filled op ed with the ACLU? Couldn't be because she's a woman could it? And this goes against your worldview?

It’s definitely used as a dismissive command. The standard interaction is:
How come you get to decide when someone’s complaints are invalid? If something’s easy for you, that doesn’t mean it’s easy for other people. You’re demonstrating the exact toxicity I’m talking about.
Do you only ever visit Kinja? Because the soulsborne community overwhelmingly has way more gatekeepers than people complaining about gatekeeping.
I love that “git gud” has become an ironic meme used in jest, but I hate that the mentality of it hasn’t gone away (i.e. the serious version of “just be better at gaming or gtfo). It’s also important to know your limitations. For example, I know I suck. That’s why I don’t even attempt Souls games, and no matter how…
“Get good” was indeed first used in the Souls community as a phrase of encouragement. Quickly though, because Souls fans are some of the most self-righteous, supercilious bastards on the planet, it became a way to chide other players who had difficulty with the game, while mocking those who encouraged those having…
They can, and do, in dozens of other games. But not here, because From continues to cater to gamers whose enjoyment is contingent on other people not enjoying the game.
Exactly right.
Oh absolutely. Notice the hilariously mis-named person complaining in the greys already.
Mostly, I think it’s a shame that From’s amazing work in atmospheric storytelling and lore gets gated off by a bunch of people who derive their personal worth from video game competence. Nothing of value would be lost if From…
I’ve been saying for a minute that this is already something Sekiro began to answer, and then Hades beat them to it. I didn’t like Sekiro as much as Bloodborne (just not quite my vibe compared to BB, which is my favorite not only of their library but of all time) but both games made some smart, elegant refinements…
I stopped playing a couple weeks ago—just wasn’t enjoying myself anymore, too much of the game felt like a step backward to make up for the things I did like—but I’m heartened to see somebody with clout and a voice speak out against that toxic “git gud” mentality. Maybe it’ll get through to some people.
IMO singleplayer (and coop) games embracing:
I’m willing to put down some solid money on someone who is involved with the production of this show being the creator of this “Experience” OR at the very least they found out about it and nudged the kid toward finding it, specifically to manufacture this piece of drama for the show.
They say you are actually flying in a circle. Most use some variation of the Gleason Map.
Well, orks certainly are dumb - but not that dumb. Orks are basically biological weapon systems. They’re genetically engineered to land on a planet, plant ork spores (they’re basically walking fungi), build weapon factories, and kill everyone on the planet - then leave and go to the next one.
As you can guess, Orks are…
Starck tweeted that Gomez was “a great guy,” and did not deserve hate for his beliefs.
The lengths folks will go to make themselves feel special and smug and persecuted for having secret information is so sad.
Remember when Jezebel went hard for Girl Bosses and neoliberal feminism?
Threatened to rape a woman and a pattern of misogyny. I’m perfectly okay with him finding another line of work.
Kinda makes you wonder what exactly you are buying if it’s based on a limited license product that the licensor can just pull out of.
