I know this is an old comment but I’ve had countless conversations with men (all men) who insist that rape is not a tool of war. It is mind numbing. I cannot believe my ears each time I hear it.

I don’t get it. They were begging for their girls to be brought back home. They had to have known that they were being harmed by these men. Couldn’t they just once change their minds and grow from the experience and welcome the girls home despite their suspicions and bias?

And it just doesn’t end. So many of these young girls are pregnant now.
