Women stay in abusive relationships due to the cognitive dissonance caused by traumatic bonding. It’s not really fair to place it on patriarchal conditioning, it demeans the strong women and not so strong women we are trying to defend.

In fact, being strong is one of the reasons women stay far too long before they recognize what they’re experiencing as abuse. You think you can’t be in an abusive relationship, because you’re too strong to have allowed that...so it has to be something else.

Xena was always the superior show and the superior character.

I was late to the Chrissy train because I couldn’t figure out why the lip sync battle host had a cookbook but I started following her on Twitter and damn it, I love her. She’s smart and funny and it seems like she and her husband have a great partnership. And her kid is just too cute.

We do not deserve Chrissy.
