It’s just that this model’s hair isn’t anywhere close to “kinky.” At all. By any stretch of the definition. And read some history. There hasn’t been an ongoing war in American and European media against Indian hair. There has been an ongoing war (and that is not overstating it) against Black female hair. You are

1) How is that self-serving?

Is there any shitty behavior you’re not compelled to rush to the defense of? If Ted Nugent or whoever gives a hot take on Roy Moore, are we going to see you in the comments for that article too?

Except if you know anything about graphic design, that theory not hold up. It easiest thing in world to move her head to right to make room for hair (as cropping out hair changes focal point slightly). Look how much space between her right eye and letters “MI” compared to how much space between left side of head and

Great jokes are never a waste of screentime.

This list only covers November releases, and I don’t think The Last Jedi opens anywhere before December.

Yeah, you don’t understand then. I’ve been using Kinja sites like Kotaku and Gizmodo for years, and sure they work just fine for those platforms. But the Kinja design just doesn’t blend well with what the AV Club used to be like. I still hate what the AV Club has become. Even as a Kinja user for years I find how the

Man, old AV Club was the shit. This version feels so watered down, plus its way less intuitive and user friendly. I’m not a fan of what it has become since joining Kinja.

Like you’re doing now?

You came in and started being needlessly confrontational. I’m not telling you how to feel, and just that you’re being a dick to people who were having a discussion that you had nothing to contribute to.

“So your friend died, what’s the big deal? I never met the guy. It doesn’t matter to me, therefore it’s dumb that it matters to you.”

Your absence is just another thing to miss about the old AV Club.

lol

Oh honey, you just can’t understand. That’s years and years of nesting and compounded super specific memes (in the sociocultural sense) you’re dissing on, a silly-seeming but integral piece of a very long-living (in internet years, especially) community that was really important to a lot of us.

Sigh...if only firsties still mattered here. Oh well. In memory of the old AVClub, I hereby infect you with cancerAIDS. Enjoy.

I can’t help but wondering what the writers are trying to do with this character. Is there a reason they’re writing her this unlikable and awkward without having any of the psychological experts around her pick her up on it? Or do they really think that that’s the way a smart modern sexy girlfriend type behaves?

Also, since this site is a Dead Zone post-Disqus, Kang might as well comment on the fact that Sean Collins’ weird obsession with music cues and his tedious virtue-signalling about the way Debbie is written (women with dead moms don’t ever joke about their dead moms? Really?) should be enough to kill off whatever’s

Nah

I can see the spectrum here — on the one hand, it’s early to ID this guy for readers, on the other hand as soon as I saw that ADT logo I was like “OH HELL YEAH IT’S BTK.” The look of the actor was pretty obviously Dennis Rader too.

I honestly feel so spoiled right now. I obviously knew we’re watching a killer, but I had no idea who it was supposed to be, and was looking forward to the reveal. I know a wee bit about serial killers and BTK, but I hadn’t put it together or even thought that hard about it. The show is obviously waiting to reveal it
