It is tracking at 350mm global which makes up the budget + marketing. It will definitely make money in ancillaries, just not blockbuster Disney move the needle money. The real threat is brand dilution and audience fatigue.

IMO, TLJ was fine as it was. TFA’s cliffhanger is what caused a lot of this controversy. Cliffhangers are fun in theory, but it becomes virtually impossible to conclude them in a way that is both narratively satisfying and pleasing to the fans.
Ah yes, the horrible 5 year old gang members, so intimidating and terrible.
Something that’s important to remember, IMO, is that to die-hard Trump supporters who voted for him and think he’s doing a great job, this family separation thing is good. It’s not the bad consequence of a good thing, it itself is good.
Due process is exactly what’s happening. It’s standard human resources procedure to put people on leave while credible allegations are investigated. There are enough witnesses that the company has already talked to to make it a credible allegation. Read the details instead of reacting to the headlines. “Due Process”…
Buddy, “due process” doesn’t apply in the Court of Public Opinion, and if it ever did, it certainly hasn’t since... I don’t know, name your social media. Myspace?
“How does him being older present some ‘power dynamic’ imbalance when she’s of legal age?”
Funny, I’ve been here since well before Kinja and toxically defended Louis CK and drug Katie Rife in the process to my great shame, and that still sits. I feel okay about this, since I’m not calling anyone anything and I believe her, not him.
And that’s fair. But you also haven’t cultivated an image and persona around being the Famous Friendly Musical Theatre Guy, so to not know the star (and writer and creator) of the only musical show currently on television that is also highly rated is weird.
Turning to the person next to you and asking who she is is harmless. Getting out your megaphone and “asking” 27.7 million people who she is is a deliberate and dickish snubbing.
Neil?
Was Bloom being passive-aggressive? Because I didn’t register any snark from her side either.
On it’s own, the question “Who is the woman backstage at the Tonys?” is pretty harmless, but mildly insulting if said woman is someone you’ve met multiple times. But adding on that Gideon “remarked that she says ‘like’ and ‘oh my god’ a lot.” tilts it toward “Why is she there? She’s not a good backstage host and she’s…
Especially when the person in question is the co-creator/writer/editor/songwriter/star of her own musical-comedy CW show. Who won a Golden Globe for the role. How the fuck does a musical-comedy fan not know about Crazy Ex-Girlfriend by this point?
When you broadcast to the entire planet that you don’t know who they are instead of taking the exact same amount of time to just figure it out - that is the awkward part. Especially when you have interacted before.
They filmed Season one and two back to back, it’s not like this is some big production, it’s a makeover reality show.
Precisely. Beauty is its own reason for being. Thus, Antoni. Never change, my tiny woodland sprite!
Antoni is the human version of a cupcake and he’s perfect. Also I hope Netflix puts out a blog detailing Karamo’s style so we can get our hands on some similar jackets. They’re probably not affordable but a boy can dream.
The gender of the director is important because women are vastly underrepresented as directors. The more opportunities for female directors, the better the film industry will become.
I think any scale is fair game, just as long as we understand what it is measuring and don’t apply it to anything it isn’t supposed to be measuring.
