The more funky and flawed the racecar, the cooler in my eyes.

So this “Windbreaker” spots an incoming threat and “breaks wind” right in it’s face? I had a college roommate who did that.

As a new rider thinking about starting to bring my wife along on longer rides, that is my worst nightmare. Great reflexes, but that could have taken a turn for the worst just as easily. A butt clenching moment if i ever saw one.

They need insurance and a municipal permit for the driver. They cannot drive on most roads outside the city. At least in my country.

They have everything from turbodiesel engines to A/C, airbags, rearview cameras, infotainment systems, even tiny cute “racing” wheels. These are not cheap, they cost around the same as a fully optioned toyota aygo.

There are quite a few of these in Portugal, usualy owned by eldrely people who have lost their licence and need something to scoot around town in, ocasionally finding themselves on the wrong lane(as in direction of travel) of a busy highway. Hence the nick-name “mata-velhos” or “elderly killers” aka “papa-reformas”or

Oh America, don’t ever change!

Video not available in my country... thanks FOX.

Maybe not from a “good” to an “excelent”, but no one wants to bury a loved one because they went with a “poor”. Sorry for being so dark, but that’s why i would never buy a car with less than a 4 star safety rating.

yes, this! a tiny displacement camless engine making ridiculous power per liter while sailing through any and all emission requirements, present and future. Now that i would call both revolutionary and “a substantial contribution toward opening up new market segments.”.

That is glorious!

All the stars, you get all the stars.

I think the lady is the real hero here, she clearly didn’t have any training, but instead of popping off a few rounds into god knows where she made alot of noise and made everyone pause for a moment. That moment was all it took for everyone involved to think to themselves “what the hell am i doing?”.

It’s for tax reasons, in some european markets the power output determines the car’s tax bracket, in others it’s the engine displacement or CO2 emissions.

I drove a turbo 08 a while back and even with the stupid gearbox it was a riot to drive.

I like to think of it as an evil gawker overlord screaming in writer’s ears... “That title isn’t smelling like clicks to me, change it! NOW!”

I hope you get the 508, i my view it’s one of the best looking cars on sale today, especially in wagon form..

I see where you are coming from, but you have to at least agree there is a not insignificant chance that the self-leveling hidraulic suspension will need expensive work done. To quote Clarkson “If i were given one i would defend it to the hills, but would i buy one? with money? no.”
