I think a wide angle rearview camera (with a helmet HUD for viewing) would be better and simpler than this, but hey! More safety features are always a good thing.

Trying too keep that engine running in those sorts of conditions(canyon carving, a go-kart for the road, a toy) would drive you mad. A bike engine comes with it’s own gearbox, so with a well sorted system you could just toss the whole thing at the first sign of trouble and just get a new bike engine, they are cheap…

I think the real question here is how does “multistrada” roll off the tongue? How superior does it make you feel to the jap riff raff? How compelled do you feel to wedge the words“ducati multistrada” into every sentence imaginable? That is the real ducati test...

But then, sending the rider down a ditch by giving him more bike than he can handle is a surefire way to turn a “feel good” story into a PR nightmare. If i where sitting in a (green) desk at Kawasaki, i’d stick to a 600.

The baja variant of the beetle never came out in Portugal(and i think the rest of Europe didn’t get it either) so to me this is a 10k car all day long. With the off-roading culture we have, i bet if a decent example popped up for sale over here people would be clawing at each other to grab it.
