I think you vastly underestimate how unpopular progressives can be in purple or red-leaning districts. Which are important to win too. One progressive win in New York City or California isn’t going to solve the problem we have today. And you need a centrist to win in places like Colorado. Yes, I would like to see a

My marker is March 1 or 32 degrees - which ever comes first.

You guys realize that you contribute to the viability of this strategy, right?

The only person more obsessed with maligning Hillary Clinton than Trump is Katherine Krueger. Shame Splinter enables this bizarre obsession.

Welcome to hell, my dude.

I still think he meant “Free Thots”...he’s surrounded by a lot of them.

2018 is so fucked up it made Don Lemon woke.

Pretty sure those assholes that only appear in black and white and are incapable of basic tasks without slapstick levels up fuckup have to be the worst.

We need to stop this “I’m entitled to my opinion” non-sense. All opinions are not of value nor should they be respected. I know absolutely nothing about nuclear physics. My opinion on the topic of nuclear physics makes about as much sense as a soup sandwich.

The book is satirical. I think she was ripping on people’s perceptions of Filipinos rather than espousing it herself.

I think it’s even worse because she’s not even wrong. Filipinos are not treated well by East Asian societies (or at least in Korea). I can’t even count the times a Korean soldier I worked with would say casually racist things about the Philippines or its people. I had a Filipino-American buddy who was treated like

For real. I don’t feel a need to ever apologize for someone’s behavior or speech, but that one touched a nerve with me as well. I guess it’s because I’ve seen what sort of discrimination the Filipino community has to endure in Asia.

I think the Filipino comment definitely is the part that’s really problematic here (I am Filipino). It kinda touches on a really sensitive subject about Filipinos in comparison to other Asians.

I can see the line about Filipinos being problematic. Other than that, I see nothing wrong with this passage.
