I often wonder if sometimes, just for shits and giggles, the fashion industry just runs fun experiments to see 'ok, just how ridiculous can we go and still get these sheep to follow our manufactured trends?'

UGH that ole turtleface. And the Golden Girls are awesome.
Bless Her Heart.
attachment parenting. helicopter parenting. bullshit like "structured play". co-sleeping. basically, parents are expected to micromanage every single aspect of their kids' lives. children aren't taught to play by themselves anymore and instead have to have parents with them constantly, playing, teaching, coddling,…
All this leaning in and out talk is making a very persuasive argument against having kids (for me). It's already hard enough balancing a budding career, volunteer time, home and social life; I applaud anyone who can add on children to that equation!
Yeah...easy to leave at 5 when you're in the C-suite.
She also talks about how, as soon as she is finished reading her kids a bedtime story, she rushes back to her laptop to continue working.
She also talked about hovering over the toilet with morning sickness while sending emails on her phone.
She also talked about how…
I agree with this. However, I think that the situation is not quite that simple when you factor in the way she is raising her children. She and her husband have taught her daughters that their sole purpose in life is to be a submissive wife and mother, and that using birth control is evil. Michelle has chosen this…
At what point do we make fun of people for having "too many" kids? 2? 3? 5?
I'm at a weird place where I support her right to do whatever she feels like with her body, while also disapproving of the rationale behind her reproductive choices (populating the world with more white fundamentalist Christians) and some of the parenting choices that have resulted from those reproductive choices…
I think there is a difference supporting someone's right to make a decision and supporting their decision. Also, saying you "tolerate" someone is pretty insulting, IMHO, even though I doubt that is most people's intention when using the word.
Why, Jezebel? Seriously, fuck you. Disagree with her all you want, I certainly do, but for a site that claims to support body positivity you are a bunch of hypocrites. Good for her for feeling good about herself. This article just makes you look petty and sad, which is happening more and more often on here.
"People who don't think what I think are brain-washed. If you disagree with my ideology you are enslaved by a system you didn't choose"
"Support" might be too strong of a word. I would say "tolerate" is a better choice.
Irrelephant?
When my mom was little car seats didn't exist and she turned out just fine. I suggest that we ban all car seats forever!!
You've just ruined cum for everybody.
I don't care how long you've live somewhere, if I have to wake up at 6am in the morning for work, and you are blasting your music right under my bedroom after quiet hours and I have asked your repeatedly to stop and you don't, I will call the cops.
He should be very, very careful that this religious discrimination protection doesn't start extending to the religions we don't like, like Islam. Could you imagine protection from discrimination if a bunch of Muslims wanted to build a mosque in Arizona?!? Or open a wedding cake bakery under SHARIA LAW?!?
I know that all publicity is good publicity, but who thinks it a good idea to go on national TV knowing that you will have your ass handed back to you by America's leading journalist?
