If it doesn’t have a strap to hold the thing in place for prolonged use it’ worth zero just like the original.

Eh.. it’s cute.. but no head strap. I wanted to watch a few of the vr movies that my friends made and they’re relatively long. I don’t plan on having to hold the damn thing to my face for 15-20 minutes.

Do you have a full-time job now that you're out of school? I've found that with a decent paying job, I can still afford to save quite a bit of money, and still pay student loans. I just live below my means, save as much as I can, and then travel and go on adventures with it.
