+1. I saw these in Kyoto back in 2002 (although I imaginethey were around well before that) and have wondered ever since why they haven’t been more widely adopted.

I’ve got a 2006 G35 6MT that I would absolutely LOVE to sell to you. No, this isn’t a joke, it isn’t wrecked or anything. The only thing that isn’t stock is the tint, which is admittedly a little too dark. The taillights are not blacked out, it’s not lowered, does not have stupid wheels, has both bumpers intact, and…
Mostly money but I also have a limited amount a free time in which to watch TV, so I have to make every minute count. For me, that means not having unlimited channels to choose from where I often watched junk. Watching TV is now a conscious choice instead of the default/background noise. I still watch some crappy…
Agreed on the need to selectively ignore alerts.
You could ask to meet someone in a roughly equivalent position and then ask that person.
My second car was a used ‘81 GS 12A. I had it for four years before the oil leak got so bad that it dripped onto the hot catalytic converter and caught fire. It wasn’t totalled, but got rid of it anyway. Kinda wish I hadn’t, but I know it’d be a completely rusted-out heap by now.
Stretching the definition of “worth” pretty far, aren’t we?

Does not translate. There is no word in Chinese politics for hypocrite.
It’s more effective than snap-traps and more environmentally-friendly than poison. I use the water on my garden afterwards.
Why would I want to get rid of bats? They’re insectivores, pollinators, and awesome!
Finding (and joining) your local Toastmasters is infinitely more effective than an infographic.
Write to your Congresspersons and ask them to support legislation that would guarantee the solvency of Social Security. Let them know that it’s not an untouchable “3rd rail” that would prevent them from getting reelected. And then, of course, vote. The AARP and the NRA have a lot in common: Their unrelenting…
Yep. One rule: Beer goes on the INSIDE of the glass.
Ignore the numbers!
No, I think that as far as your own score is concerned, it is meaningless. If there are negative records on your report, you’re doing something wrong and need to fix it going forward. Doesn’t matter if you’ve got a 780 or a 480, you still have to fix the underlying reason why negative records are going on your report.
Right. My point is that each of those items on your report is going to have an effect on your score whether you start with a 780 or a 480. Doing more of the things that raise your score and less of the things that lower it is more important than knowing the number. Most important, however, is knowing which is which,…
Correction - KHOU is the CBS affiliate in Houston, not Dallas.
You knowing what your score was had nothing to do with whether or not you got free internet and 1 month deposit for leasing your apartment. Your customers don’t get different interest rates based on whether or not they know their scores.
More proof that concentrating on your score is NOT an effective strategy for managing anything. Those scores are not meant for you, they’re meant for lenders. Each lender has their own tolerance for risk and you have no influence over that decision. You knowing the number does not give you any special knowledge or…
