Oof. I see what you did there.

 Long as there's (inorganic) life, there's hope. Besides, think about it: Eyeball is over 5000 years old and is still about as psychologically complex as a cantaloupe. Even if they spend a century or two floating around, you really think they're going to remember anything about it later?

They'll most likely be fine. As Douglas Adams said, space is big. Really big. The chances of them running into actual stuff (without having to worry about dramatic license, anyway) is fairly small.

"What even unifies them outside of their color and purpose anyway?" — Maybe we should stop thinking of them as clones of one another, and more like individual castes. Sure, they look alike, are assigned the same place and purpose in society — but past that, individual variations are the general rule.

Also, anyone else get a real "Gravity" sort of feeling from this episode?

She *WAS* kind of drooling there, wasn't she…

Still, I was afraid of this — Sony took a big risk, and now every Hollywood douchebag out there is going to hold this up as an example of why films shouldn't star women. Because it's not like there couldn't have been a ton of OTHER problems with the film and Sony's approach.

Honestly, I really liked the lady Ghostbusters, Holtzmann in particular. My only beef with the movie is that I wish it'd been a sequel to the original two in some way, with the ladies inheriting the firehouse and whatnot from the original crew. Mostly because I'm a big fan of continuity and persistent universes.

Can't win 'em all, Steven.

Well, are they, actually? Or is gender more a human thing, and Gems just happen to go with "she" when speaking English because why not?

Yeah, well. Buckle up. I suspect this is gonna get a whole lot darker before we've seen the end. And I, for one, plan to enjoy every moment of it.

Yeah, Pearl was there too when Pink was shattered. Of that, I have no doubt.

You may still be right. It could be that the other Diamonds shattered Pink, then pinned the crime on Rose. We'll have to see.

Not according to the previews, I'm afraid…

Uh, excuse me? Bowie-as-Ziggy is completely different from, say, Bowie-as-Tesla or Bowie-as-Goblin-King. They're all, like, completely different Bowies. *(pushes back hipster glasses)*

Regarding Pink Diamond — yeah, there's got to be more to the story than that. My suspicion right now is that she might have been killed by one of the other Diamonds secretly as part of some kind of internal political feud, with the death pinned on Rose. (Maybe Rose initially started the Crystal Gems as a peaceful

Upvoted for possible Rose-Quartz-battling-Ziggy-Stardust fanart that might come from this.

Re: the use of an airlock as an un-Steveny move — keep in mind, he knows by now that Gems don't need to breathe. So, from that point of view, it was pretty shrewd of him. Not only does it get rid of the Rubies, but it does so in a way that won't kill any of them. (Sure, spinning off uncontrollably into space isn't

… maybe she decided he's from an aquatic species?

What are you talking about? The Clearchannels in my area were still replaying "Freshmen" all the way through 2000. For all I know, they still are.
