“Sure, I lied to the Umpire, of course. But I never thought an Umpire would lie to ME!”

You think you do, but Daves are tricky things. While he was a boon in college, his utility declined sharply once he was no longer a campus dweller.

Stand your ground clearance.

Just watched Forster in El Camino, and he was fantastic as always. RIP

one who’d like to preserve the perception of themselves as brave truth-tellers, but would prefer not actually having to engage in any of that risky truth-telling business.

Tough to be an MLB pitching coach when you refuse to work with lefties.

That’s the most common argument against minivans I hear though.. “I don’t want to be seen in a minivan” was what a good friend of mine just said before she went out and bought a durango. She doesn’t tow anything, has 5 kids, and paid more for the durango than she would have paid for a toyota sienna that gets better

a friend of mine did one of these of the danube and she loved it. and she would not touch a regular cruise ship with a ten-foot pole.

Viking River Cruises sound great, and the boats look cool and go to fun places. However, be aware the average age of travellers is 70, so most of your vacation will be spent talking with strangers about their hip operations and incarcerated grandchildren.

the only cruise i would ever do is a viking river cruise. this is because their ads before PBS Masterpiece always made me want to be an elegant retiree gliding along the rhone with my aging but still dashing lawyer husband while taking in the sights of ancient europe, but also because it’s a river so if the boat

Famously disappointed cruiseship passengers.

The new ads are so aggressive and over-the-top that I’m going out of my way to NOT patronize the companies advertised. I actually used to use

That pic at the top of the post...it took me a minute to realize that’s Kovalchuk next to Doughty; I thought for a second Tkachuk got traded to LA.

It has to be the 2019 Nissan Frontier, right? It’s only been “refreshed” since literally 2004, never redesigned. You now get a 7-inch touchscreen though! But only on base models! Upgrade to a higher trim and you somehow get relegated to a 5.8-inch screen, which is smaller than a Samsung Galaxy S10's display.

you want buttons we have buttons. behind the shifter, in front of the shifter, micro font displays, touch screen, hell even the vents are controls

Actually every athlete my brothet or I mailed cards to as a kid signed and mailed them back, except for Deion Sanders. He’s the only one who didn’t. They all took 2-6 years to get back to us, but who cares? It was still so awesome :)

Heh. When I was a kid I was a Terrell Buckley fan for some reason. I mailed him a football card and he signed and returned it.

My wife is a sportswriter (with bylines on your sister sports site) and sports radio host and the shit she has to deal with on a daily basis is just stomach turning.

I guess technically it still is.
