I sometimes think that Charlie is some kind of idiot savant and ‘Charlie Work’ is a good example of that. Also when the rest of the gang acts irrational then Charlie becomes the voice of reason ends up always being a good episode.

It’s called 2nd sleep! People in the olden days would sleep for about 5-6 hours then they’re up anywhere from 15min - 2 hours then they would go back to sleep for another 3-4 hours. The time they were awake they would do little chores in and around the house.
