Dammit, Clint!

"(and Frances Fisher looks nothing like that actress's future, nor does that starlet look like Fisher's past)"

Yeah, but the problem becomes that either he's supposed to be 47 in the '70s OR he was around 65 in 2010, both of which don't really gel with the actors used.

Fun fact: the young scam artist/waitress is being played by Francesca Eastwood, who is the daughter of the actress who plays the older version of the character (Frances Fisher). They are also respectively the daughter and ex-wife of Clint Eastwood.

That doesn't really solve the problem though, because the Thaddeus Mobley we see in the flashback very clearly is not 47. Even if he changed his legal age "Ennis" looked way too old to be the same person.

And electronics react like she might or might not be there.

No mention of Gloria's fantastic shirts?

If you think ads are the problem, try uBlock Origin. It blocks pretty much everything.

She greeted them both, though. It was
Kim: "Howard."
Howard: "Kim."
Kim: *in a sigh* "Chuck"
Chuck: "Kim."

That's probably the Djinn though, isn't it?

The etymology of the days is great:

This felt like a bit of a return to form, after the last two episodes felt more like finding the most offensive thing possible just for the sake of it.

This… is going to be awful, isn't it? With the massive delays, the shifts in creative direction and casting, it really isn't looking good.

I don't think it's that she's afraid of technology - it literally doesn't seem to react to her. Electronic doors aren't opening, mobile phones don't seem to register her, and she doesn't "like" computers. If this season has a supernatural-like element, it's probably that.

Yes, it makes all the details all the more striking - the cell phones, the old Google homepage, young Obama.

I don't think it's supposed to show her age, but how long this tiny police station hasn't seen change. The telex was probably already there when she got there.

Very possible spoilers:

Well, he wasn't there.

Yes, definitely vermin, which is accentuated by the way Thewlis walks and what they did to his teeth (Brit jokes aside, his teeth don't look like that).

He's also Nucky's brother (Eli) in Boardwalk Empire).
