So… surely this season will have a supernatural angle as well, right? Is Gloria a ghost? Were they hit by an EMP? What's up with nothing electronic reacting to her?

I mean more something like where you leave something lying around that's easy to grab and you know someone who really wants that, they steal it and you go "GOTCHA!". It's something that would only work if you know how the other person would react, which happened in this case.

Right, that makes sense. Surely creating a set of circumstances that would likely result in criminal action from someone is some sort of defense, though?

Oh really? I didn't know that, that's interesting.

I've been wondering this: if this case is taken to court, couldn't Jimmy just argue entrapment? Because that's what it is.

Speculation: we're going to see Chuck's ex-wife as a saving grace at the trial, testifying against Chuck. Her name has been dropped too many times for her not to be relevant in some way.

B. B. Saul, the first B. B. King of B. B. Israel.

I'm not really sure if that's a downside. I think there's a lot more inherent tension in ANYTHING that Kim's in because you know it has to go wrong somewhere, and you don't ever want to see that happen.

I don't know if that's true. Breaking Bad had no real "good" people, and those that were actually more morally grey (such as Jesse) got a morally grey ending. Jimmy is a lot more sympathetic than Walt ever was.

There's an interesting DP/30 interview with him where he says he never wants to do two movies of similar genres in a row. This is mostly him doing that.

"Liked the episode but did nothing new and I'm worried about the rest of the show" can totally be a B+.

I was surprised that when they showed a woman parolee near the end there they didn't have a shot of Ray standing outside the women's, or some kind of gag with it.

It wasn't meant to be finished. (I would even argue that

Nice callback to the cold opening when Emmit wanted to leave the house still in his "house shoes" but his wife reminded him of them. "Yuri Gurka"'s house shoes were still on his feet (and topped with snow) in the East German police office.

I like that he readjusted his tie and Hamlindigo Blue suit after every fence.

These kinds of posts make me miss Polite Fight.

Yes, but probably by the very end, after the whole Cinnabon thing way past Breaking Bad's events. There is a lot of tragedy still in store here (especially with regards to Kim).

"The reviewer" isn't the same person for those things.

American Gods coming soon, too!
