Yay! Kudos to you for a value added piece on io9, something that’s become sadly rare in this new era for the site.

A...GIANT role?
Certain death? It was a tie, dude.
I believe Skurge has some friendly advice on why space travel is highly overrated. Something about it being “disease and danger wrapped in darkness and silence”?
Can you imagine it? Tony Shalhoub just Eddie Murphy-ing his way through it, playing men, women, young and old.
Frakes was basically Roddenberry’s protege in the early TNG days and later graduated to being the team leader of the cast. On top of directing the two best TNG movies, he basically embodies the spirit of the old guard. Not that it’ll likely make a difference, but that’s why it’s a big(ish) deal.
Uh... what? Khan isn’t an action movie. It’s a Hornblower-esque naval war movie. Not really the same sphere at all.
I mean, in terms of actual action... there’s very little. Oh, the ships shoot at each other a bit, but until the final battle, they’re pretty short exchanges where the emphasis is just on... tactics. In…
Still not better than Wrath of Khan but it is a fucking good Trek movie.
Yeah, but Orcs are shunned because Orcs in the past chose the dark side. That’s why the comparison to Black people doesn’t work. We as a group didn’t “choose” anything or do anything wrong to deserve our treatment and position.
My favorite makes zero difference ... I’ll tell you what I do enjoy though; I like coming to I09 and reading about all the cool new stuff coming out, or the BtS info on movies and shows, or the articles about scientific progress.
OooOooh look at me. I’m soooo hip I can hate on something just because I don’t connect with the fans.
it doesnt matter. charles is black so he has carte blanche to call things racist with absolutely no evidence, facts or repercussions. it’s just his thing.
He can’t prove it, so he’ll just hop onto his alt account and baselessly claim how he’s actually really right! Without proof of course.
Is Alex Garland a racist?
Jesus, your job really is to just walk into the office, sit down, and ask yourself: “What can I call racist today?”
I was surprised that I enjoyed The Punisher as much as I did.
*jumps on top of table and starts to headbang excitedly*
Seriously. It was a major business. To say they weren’t mainstream is basically an admission that one doesn’t know anything about the time period at all.
Many humans, enough to make a society, disagree with you.
But will they have the guts to leave the hardcore libertarian anarchy-capitalist philosophy. The book, which is one of my very favorites ever by any author, is considerably more hardcore than Ayn Rand in many ways. If you don't pay your debts she'll call you a moocher, they'll toss you out an airlock.
