Does anyone really buy a car with 8 year loans on them? I mean, as desperate I am for a car...no way I'd do that.
When I worked for Boehringer Ingelheim we were working on this as well. We were all geared up and just about ready to get it on the market...but it got cancelled because it "didn't work well enough" or some crap like that.
I knew about the Messerschmitt and the Swatch. I had no idea that the others even existed!
And normally, I'd agree with you. But I did have a nice savings, but when I was paying off all my mother's medical bills (and stayed home from work for almost a year to care for her), I chose to use it to pay off a lot of things so I would now be debt free.

I've spoken with several car buyers who ran into a hard time a few years ago, but now find themselves in a better financial situation and are ready to get a new vehicle. Often approval for sub-prime loans is their only way to make the purchase.
Actually, going through a drive through, going to the grocery store and stopping at the kids school would be the perfect test drive.

I would. In a damn heartbeat. But that doesn't excuse what those fuckers did either.
According to Florida law, the repossession company was within their legal rights to take the car even with a 9 month old inside, so no criminal charges will be filed.
If all you're doing is backing out of a parking space and your tires are spinning AWD, FWD, RWD...ect...you're just doing it wrong!!
