new analysis of the video leaves it ‘indisputable’ that the boy was pulling a weapon from his waistband when he was killed

I think about that letter all the time. This practice is absolutely still happening and it still has the same impact. As mothers who fear the loss of our children we react in fear and protection. We struggle with what the right answer is or isn’t every single day. We let go of some of the fear because we have to

My 6’ 200lb 14 year old son was at my house with his 5’10” 175lb 12 year old cousin who lives 4 houses away around the corner. They decide to go to his house and play video games so they take off down the street at 8pm with an Xbox and flat screen tv. Still scares me.

The same NRA that back in the 60s helped craft gun control laws because Black Panthers started arming themselves and buying guns en masse? The NRA only gives a shit if white people are being deprived of their gun rights.

Not in the same universe as black people.

Agreed. McGinty is a piece of shit who abdicated his responsibility to his job and became a cheerleader for the defense. What an immoral, disgraceful coward. If he had any dignity at all he would submit his resignation tomorrow morning. His lack of any empathy for the Rice family makes him unsuitable for public

That video alone is enough to convict the guy. That he didn’t even get an indictment sickens me. I hate this world.

Agree completely. Know what might bring Tamir Rice’s family some semblance of peace? Some Semblance of Justice.

The hurt and pain she must feel is incomprehensible to me, as are the actions of the policemen and the lack of charges being pressed.

Fuck Tim McGinty for blaming a 12 year old for his own death and fuck the grand jury that failed to indict the trigger happy cops responsible.

I don’t know where she finds the strength. This is making me so angry and he’s not even someone I knew, let alone loved. Damn, I hope she gets some justice though it will never replace her son or the way her daughter was treated that night.

Prosecutor McGinty deliberately sabotaged the case, never advocating for my son, and acting instead like the police officers’ defense attorney.

Grand Juries are bullshit.

My heart breaks for this woman. I hope she’s able to stay strong and has a good support system. She was living in a homeless shelter back in May, which was yet another blow for this poor woman. I’m not holding out much hope for any justice in this case, but I do wish the Rice family some semblance of peace.

1. CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is so wonderful! 2. You have excellent travel taste. That is a wonderful place 3. Bless your eloping, you're making life easier for yourselves and for your friends and family (even if they won't understand) because weddings are work

I wear my husband’s grandmother’s 1920’s engagement and wedding ring set. Several years ago while vacationing on Cape Cod with my husband’s family I lost my rings. I had taken them off and placed them in a shirt pocket so that I could put sunscreen on my daughter, husband, and self. Played Kadima, hung out at the

I’ve done something similar, there’s a network of ring finders that do that work basically for donations. Sans boat, that is. My engagement ring slipped off while I was in playing in shallow water with my nephew during high tide.

My dad’s closest friend, from seminary, left my dad his ring when he died. (This happened years before I was born.) The ring had a big onyx stone. My dad was the least-flashiest guy, so the ring always stood out on him.

When I was a senior in high school, an alumna of our school came to encourage us to buy expensive, ugly class rings. She decided the best way to get us on board was to tell an apparently true story about a woman losing her beloved class ring on the beach. A man found the ring a decade later and spent months tracking
