1st Gear- Can someone photoshop a woody 4th gen Town & Country?

Now playing

There's what I would consider a bootleg DVD of the Eagles, live in Houston from 1977. Quality is fair, at best, but for $9.99, I like having a copy. Otherwise, you can view it on some Asian "You Tube-ish website, here: http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMzU…. They do a rendition of Funk 49 that rocks! Two of the

Saw Styx last summer at Verizon. Tommy Shaw did Joe Walsh's part dueling guitars with Don Felder during Hotel California. Well worth the money. Hopefully, they'll tour again this year, but with someone else other than Foreigner. I could see Felder, Styx and REO Speedwagon.

Kinda dolphin-esque. EWWWW!

They actually have them? Enthusiast cards? Hell, I have 16 websites in my Favorites bar (Jalopnik, being the oldest). How do I get one?

What gets me is the utter simplicity of cars of this era. Nothing in the engine compartment other than an engine. ARRRGGGHHH! I once borrowed an old Beetle that was nothing but an engine and tranny. It was so much fun to drive.

Yeah, can't you already see the May Kay Cosmetics pink Viper?

I was in Florida a couple of years ago and saw one of the original Fiat 500's, all decked out in racing numbers. All I could do was wonder what they wear on their other foot? I suppose classic cars get passes on safety.

At issue with all of these smaller hybrid-pickup concepts is their ability to do more than one thing well. Big pickups own the market on towing, hauling, room for several. The big V-8's and even the new V-6's are bulletproof. Enter the Ridgeline- built off of a minivan platform. It has some flexibility, but a la

Not just Jalopnik, either. I have a list of Favorites that's 16 websites long. It's awfully hard to miss any car news, but it's a real challenge to get any work done.

Way prettier than a GT-R.

So, back in the 70's, one of the mags did King's Ransom Road Test with the Eldorado, Mark IV and Imperial. Then, the head to head with Camaro, Mustang and Challenger. Now, we have Corvette, Ford GT and Viper.

I saw this at last year's auto show and thought Chrysler should buy the design and rename it Javelin. Sure looks like a modernized version of one, don't you think?

Putin wants to go down in history, rather than be forgotten like so many. Russians should band together and all cross-dress at the same time.

I thought you were a bit taller...

UNIFORMITY. Please! Back in the 70's, all of the controls were put in the same location, no matter who the manufacturer was.

Gimmeee!

You see these overseas. I can't understand why they can't use them here. You have virtually no blind spot when they mount them forward. But, with today's technology, I foresee integral "mirrors" built into the A-pillars, and a tiny nub with a camera in it, where the old mirror was.

YEP.

The only way you'll ever see split windows is when they tie the rearview mirror into a backup camera. Bad enough we have A-pillars that block a small car from view.
