The fishy part was the no warning. I don’t care about clearing a road. But no postings, no notice, just towed even though it was legally a parking spot. If there had been signs up, I’d be more understanding.

You got towed because the Secret Service thought your car might be a security threat and/or they and the local police decided to clear the route as early as possible to allow for further security sweeps.
