Oddly enough, this is likely the best use of a rotary in a car outside of motorsports. No need to worry about poor torque in the low-end when it stays running at speed. Won’t burn nearly as much oil as in the RXes as it’s going to be diminutive in size (I could have sworn that I read that the range extender is 0.33L,

Also, as a 6-foot-2 human being, I’d need to lower the driver’s seat at least an inch to avoid contact between the top of my head and the sunroof surround. I can’t even wear a hat in the Delica.

I know how I wanna go out: hooning a 127-hp Cappuccino. They’re supposedly plenty of fun at half that horsepower. This is a (most delightful) death machine.

Seriously, Kei cars are one of the main reasons I want to move to Japan. I love the quirky little things so much.

I’ve heard one that I like that’s a wee bit more tight-lipped and is based more on the type of media being spoiled:

Ooh, I have one for this: the very first time I brought my 2-series in for general maintenance (bought it off-lease with about 35k on the clock), they discovered a “small transmission fluid leak.” After some assessment, they told me they had to replace the transmission.

I think vehicle taxation should simply be by mile driven, adjusted by weight.

I have an unabashed infatuation with these. They remind me of Kei cars and it makes me smile.

Glad that it’s working for you. Personally, I’d have kept the Nissan logo at least. Cars without any badges just look so... I dunno.

It wasn’t a great car by any means, but it looked cool as hell (to a teenage me) and was cheap. Got me through plenty of races.

Either way, it still tickles that nostalgia bone. I saw this header image and my eyes lit up.

Since these are so new to the US market, it’s kinda hard to gauge, but it at least seems to be a bit on the high side. Considering I have many fond memories of this car in GranTurismo 3, I’m inclined to ignore my better judgement and say NP, but in the end it’s still an aged Fiat with at least one known electrical

Agreed. We have enough tough/edgy/angry cars as it is.

Never underestimate the dangers of letting your tire pressure being off by 1.5 PSI.

As someone who’s been borderline-obsessed with Kei cars, of the “Big Three” (Cappuccino, AZ-1, and Beat), I’ve looked into them quite a bit. The AZ-1 definitely has the most pronounced style, but anyone larger than a small child is gonna have a hard time getting in and out of it (and at nearly six-and-a-half feet

Ah, now I recognize it! Before today, this was the only pic I’d seen of the car. I just remember it opening all kinds of wonky.
