I’m in Australia and can’t get Malort. Could you recommend a substitute? Based on the wormwood reference I’m thinking pastis or absinthe, but my understanding is that Malort is a lot rougher than either of those.

He did some commentary at the Australian Open, and I was surprised to find that he talks about the game and other competitors really well - with affection and understanding, as opposed to the rage and contempt with which he often seems to play.

No Tama-Roca? It’s sour, salty, spicy AND sweet - and they pride themselves on having more actual tamarind in their mix than most other manufacturers. I recently found a source near me in Sydney and I legit did a dance in the shop.
