So you didn't enjoy a movie because you didn't like a character you're not supposed to like. Everyone in the movie talks about how awful Scott Pilgrim is. The movie didn't set out to have you like him and fail. Getting mad at Scott Pilgrim vs. The World because you don't like Scott is like getting mad at Star Wars

He gets better by the end of the movie. Which is the whole point. Character development and all.

A tower and a field of red flowers you say?

Basically the entire last 20 minutes of this movie...

"No Sir - all thirteen!!"

"My turn."

Who's the Master?

Battlestar Galactica FTLing into and out of the sky over New Caprica. Still gives me chills.

Now playing

And of course "I'd like to test that theory."

Puny god.

I love Van Helsing. Yes, I am insane.

Octavia Butler's Patternist series fits the bill too, especially reading them in publication order. It either goes from this small, discrete story to this expansive world of humanity's transition or the other way around, with total game-changers happening in between.

Turns out she didn't actually win anything. Also, more world.

Spiderman 3

Pretty good but my favorite part had to be the...

Xena was an enemy/love-interest on Hercules before she got her own show and became a pop-culture icon.

Planet Terror - From stripper to the leader of survivalists after a zombie outbreak. Pretty Cherry.
